Referring to the notion that science

Referring to the notion that science, it can be concluded that the nature of science includes four main elements:

Attitudes: curiosity about objects, natural phenomena, living beings, and the causal relations that give rise to new problems can be solved through the proper procedures; IPA is open ended;

Process: The procedure of solving problems through scientific method; scientific method includes preparation of hypotheses, design of experiments or trials, evaluation, measurement, and conclusion;

Products: the form of facts, principles, theories, and laws;

Application: the application of scientific methods and concepts of science in everyday life.

The four elements that are characteristic of Natural Sciences IPA whole which can not be separated from one another.
In the process of learning science four elements that are expected to emerge, so that students can experience learning process as a whole, to understand natural phenomena through problem-solving activities, scientific method, and imitate the way scientists work to discover new facts. The trend in today's science learning is the learners only learn science as a product, to memorize the concepts, theories and laws. This situation is compounded by learning beriorientasi on tests / exams. Consequently science as a process, an attitude, and learning applications untouched.
The experience gained in the classroom learning incomplete and not standardized achievement-oriented and basic competencies. Learning is more teacher-centered, teacher only convey science as a product and students memorize factual information. Students only learn science at the lowest cognitive domain. Learners are not accustomed to develop the potential of thinking. Facts on the ground show that many students who tend to be lazy to think independently. This way of thinking developed in learning activities has not touched affective and psychomotor domains. The reason often cited by teachers is the lack of time, facilities, learning environment, and the number of students per class is too many
